Here’s a time when it is not yet Spring, but it is no longer winter. Our weather is strange this year, warmer and much more turbulent than ever. Here are some peeks at the world as I share some photos. Hopefully you will break out your cameras and capture some beauty.
This shot was taken from a building in downtown Oakland. To the right is the port of Oakland. The large white structures on the left and right are the port cranes that inspired Speilberg’s giant walking machines. Downtown San Francisco is just to the right of the center of the scene.
This scene shows the new San Francisco Bay Bridge and the replacement for the Cypress freeway that was destroyed in the Loma Prieta Earthquake. The hill in the center of the picture is Yerba Buena Island.
This bit of whimsy was a surprise. This twig was not moved or altered. It simply was its own composition.
This crane was huddling against a very soft rain, showing another side to its showy magnificence.
